Recently, Jiangling County held the opening ceremony of first grade river-edge highway, symbolizing that the first-grade river-edge highway Jiangling section officially entered into the stage of construction.

The first-grade river-edge highway starts from Yanka highway intersection and ends at Shuangqiao village, in Haoxue town of Jiangling county, which is level crossing Jingzhou-Jianli highway and connects with the Jiangling connection line of Jiangbei highway. With a full length of 35.691 km, it includes a length of 24.78 in Jiangling county, crossing 14 villages and communities including Zhaoqiao, Zhanghuang, Yangyuan, Longqiao, Zisheng, Gaoyuan, Chonghe, Changkeng, Qiyuan, Jinggan, Guoqiang, Jianguo, Longyuan, and Shuangqiao.

This highway is constructed in accordance with the standard of bidirectional 4 lanes first-grade road with a designed speed of 80 km per hour. The whole width of the road is 24.5 meters while the width of the split-subgrade on the left and right is 12.75 meters. With an overall investment of around 600 million, the total duration of the construction plan is 24 months.
